Second: Reading Journal Blog / Sinisa Blagojevic

Second: Reading Journal Blog Empathy: Write about something happening in the book that you can relate to? Try to put yourself in the characters shoes and say why you think they feel the way they do. In chapter 97 Christopher was talking to Mrs Alexander but he promised his father that he doesn’t have to put his nose into other people’s business. So he decided to chat with Mrs Alexander about Mr Shears and Wellington. So it wasn’t a conversation. It was just a chat. I would do the same because if I focus on something I would like to finish it. Christopher is very curious like me. If I were in his shoes, it would be important to me to find out who killed the dog. I understand Christopher because he loves dogs and he cares about who killed Wellington. I could not come to rest either if someone had committed a crime in my neighbourhood. Hopefully he will find it out and the criminal gets his punishment.

First: Reading Journal Blog Reflection: Write down your first impression of the book or play. Ask some questions. Write down quotations. Copy whole passages that are difficult or that you really like a lot. He’ s very intelligent and loves maths and especially prime numbers. My first impression is that Christopher is on one side very different than me, but on the other side very much like me. He is quiet and reserved, but he likes dogs and he is quite sensitive, as you can read by the fact that he hugged and stroked the dead dog. The beginning was exciting, but there are too many changes from section to section. Quotations: P. 8-9 row 26: “The policeman took hold of my arm and lifted me onto my feet. I didn’t like him touching me like this. And this is when I hit him.” I don't know why...
